Name Art - T3W1

Today I have completed my art which was basically drawing my name followed by something that could represent what my personality is and where I am from. I really enjoyed doing this art because I think this strongly represents who I am and I am proud of it. I hope that next weeks art will connect to something I have heard of or know plenty about of.

Silhouette Art

Today I completed my art called " Silhouette art". I really enjoyed doing this but one downside to it was that it looked really messy in the end. Yes I believe Mr.Ramkolowan that it was supposed to look like this but I wasn't exactly into it. I hope that for our next art, it includes more vibrant and light colours.

Silhouette in the Rainbow Art - T1W6

Today I completed my Rainbow Silhouette art. This was the outcome.

The colours I used were Blue, Red, Yellow and Black.

At first I had to draw the outline with a pencil and then fill the whole drawing in with black paint. I then had to find the centre in the middle of my face to draw lines of the rainbow. After that I filled it in with the colours chosen. Overall I think that the face drawing was done well. The one thing I didn't exactly nail was the painting but it looked fine I guess. Overall I really enjoyed doing this piece of art I am looking forward to next week's art plan. :)

Earbud Art - T1W5

Technique: When doing earbud art, you need to use pencil to outline the tree branches. Now you need to use cue tips to gently press the colour onto the paper.

Colour: You can really use any coloured paint but the colours I used were Orange, Blue, Green and black.

I need to work on: I think that the things I need to work on are the tree trunks and the branches. I would like to try this again to see if I have improved.

💥A Colour fiesta! 💥

Today I completed my art. We started the art yesterday with our reliever Mr.Simmons To do this art I used:

  • Pastels.
The method to completing this art is:

  1. Draw your plant and its soil (With Pastel not Pencil)
  2. Add colours one at a time
  3. Blend with your thumb ( For the affect)
Even though my art did not turn out the best but I am still happy with the outcome. My art is supposed to be a plant but it looks far from it. Huge thanks to Mr.Simmons for helping us with this art and we hope to have you again in the near future.  Although some of the disadvantages were about the messiness, one of the major advantages was getting to see all the colours blend in together like a dream. If you are going to try this art we recommend you putting a newspaper underneath so that the mess does not end up on the table. Pastle is not too hard to rub off from tables but it is better not to be a messy artist!

Planning my Melted Crayon Art

1 Nov 2017 14:22:27.jpg

The picture I have chosen is a drawing of an umbrella protecting a Kiwi from the rain. I think that this can definitely remind people about New Zealand. The type of art will be silhouette. It will have most of the colours of the rainbow. I am very excited to try this art because it is one type of artwork I have not tried before. The colour of the umbrella and the Kiwi will be black. Hopefully when I am finished this art, the colours will stand out more than the planning.

Easter art lesson

WALT: Decorate a cupcake using an Easter theme

Today room 8 decorated their own individual cupcakes using the Easter theme. We had 15 minutes to design our desired piece. We used fondant and sprinkles to cover the cupcake and rolled the fondant with sticks. I found it very challenging to cover the cupcake but had lots of fun. I am very excited to create the easter cups when it’s more cold.
