Mrs.Manu
Today is our last day with Mrs.Manu as seen. She was my favorite teacher. She was someone I could talk to and laugh to because her amount of joyfulness that she held inside. I will definitely miss her coming to work as a full time teacher at Glen Innes School. I got emotional when she told Room 8 her goodbyes but we are going to have an assembly at 12:30 today. I will miss you alot everyday Mrs.Manu.

Easter art lesson
WALT: Decorate a cupcake using an Easter theme
Today room 8 decorated their own individual cupcakes using the Easter theme. We had 15 minutes to design our desired piece. We used fondant and sprinkles to cover the cupcake and rolled the fondant with sticks. I found it very challenging to cover the cupcake but had lots of fun. I am very excited to create the easter cups when it’s more cold.

Brochure - Omaru Creek
My brochure is based on Omaru Creek. I am trying to stop people from littering in Omaru creek. I am also trying to spread a message to everyone so that our creek can be healthy like it was ages ago. I strongly believe that we deserve a clean creek so that our creatures such as eels and fishes can have a safe and healthy home.

Persuasive letter - Drop in Cafe
Dear Mum,
There will be a ‘Drop in Cafe’ at school on Wednesday the 5th of April 2017. It will be held so you can talk to our principal (Mr.Hendricks) about my learning in Maths,Reading and Writing. We have tests from PAT and e-asttle and these are my scores: My score in Maths on PAT was 7 and the standard is 4. For my PAT reading, I got a 6 and the standard is also 4. For my e-asttle writing I achieved 4b which is the standard. I would really appreciate it if you could take out some time to attend this special meeting so that in the future I can accelerate in my learning. If you are willing to come that would mean alot to me because it means that you care about my education. I really need your help at school so coming to this meeting will give me an extra boost in my learning. I hope you come to this meeting so you can find our my strengths and weaknesses at school.
Your loving child,
Alicia
